A radiography tool that is worth something

March 28th, 2006 · 1 Comment

Every digital radiography salesman will show potential buyers how their software can colorize an x-ray. WOW does it ever look impressive. How does it help you diagnose dental disease????

It doesn’t, it just looks cool. On the other hand Doug Yoon at XDR has developed some software tools that can really help. For example he has a tool that will automatically correct for any distortion in the image as shown in the examples. Now there is a tool we can use every day.

This is my first time submitting a comment through this site and unfortunately it is concerning a bad experience with a digital xray company. Lightyear digital xray company is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with in my 23 years of dentistry. Despite repeated promises, they have never been able to get their program to run properly on my computers. They do not stand by their product. Their treatment of our situation has been negligant to put it kindly. Anyone considering buying their product should give strong 2nd thought. I would be happy to talk about details to anyone interested.
