Office Time -Satellite clocks

June 29th, 2005 · 1 Comment

I was in Costco a few monthe ago and saw a satelite clock with time, date and weather information.  It was under $30.  I grabbed it for the office.  It has a remote sensor that you can put outside or in the reception room to monitor the temperature and humidity. No wires, it communicates by radio frequency.  I have it in my most used operatory that is in plain sight  to the open space or hall.  I LOVE THIS GADGET!  I always know the exact time and temperture in my operatory.  I like to stay on time and I get hot when working on patients.  The more stress, the hotter I feel.  I wonder, is it hot in here, or is it me?  I look up… and 72 degrees… it’s me.

It’s also a way to keep my self winding watch (loses a minute a day) accurate.

Great idea Tom. I am the same way about the temp - I never know if it’s me or my stress level. By the way - I have a GMT master II that only loses a minute every 2 weeks. You better send your watch in for a cleaning or an overhaul :)
