Rumour has it that there were only 4200 preregistrations for the ADA annual session in Philadelphia that will be held next week. The ADA usually has an attendance of around 15,000. Didn’t the ADA learn their lesson from the poorly attended annual session in Kansas City? Non tourist destination cities do not get good attendance. Vendors have been grumbling for years and may just stop supporting the meetings.

That’s an odd number since no one can seem to get a hotel room in or near Philly. I do know a few dentists who decided NOT to go because they had to stay almost an hour away, so that could be a factor. We’ll see in a few days.
