It seems that the rest of the world is using ozone for caries reduction and elimination of oral bacteria, but the US isn’t sold yet – at least not those in charge of regulations. Shortly after KaVo introduced DIAGNOdent in 1997, the company presented HealOzone to the marketplace in 2001.
